Arch and I were talking last night and we thought it'd be good to post tips and tricks for different classes and sides, as well as maps.
As writing a whole guide would be a bit much, I will answer any specific questions people have to the best I can.
So if you're curious about a game feature, a weapon, a class, unlocks, or achievements and rank, let me know and I'll respond ASAP. |

I wouldn't write a whole guide but like for instance when you see the air shafts everywhere I was wondering why they were in some areas you wouldn't use the flyer drone there were air shafts -- last night captain Jesse and I were doin snipers and he showed us how you could shoot your teleporter up in there and lay down or crouch and hit lmb and you spawn in there and then it goes to hidden alcoves -- since ive found out Ive been able to find numors areas to do this
Btw last night was also one of the first times I really tryed to play sniper not just putz with it
But in this same aspect If you see a trick or idea that really works posty it so we can try it out and see _________________ If for every rule there is an exception, then we have
established that there is an exception to every rule. If we
accept "For every rule there is an exception" as a rule, then we
must concede that there may not be an exception after all, since
the rule states that there is always the possibility of exception,
and if we follow it to its logical end we must agree that there can
be an exception to the rule that for every rule there is an
exception. |

Cool. I'm usually playing sniper in this game. Medic doesn't do it for me in this one, as in Battlefield. Any cool tips and tricks are great. I remembering finding out about C4 on ladders in BF2142, and that was a great little thing... when it worked _________________ "Always code as if the person who ends up maintaining your code will be a violent psychopath who knows where you live." |

I can help with the Cover Ops loadout.
If you're planning on playing a long range sniper, I'll be honest.
You're only going to be useful to the team when sniping someone who is: A. Planting explosives not yet armed. B. Hacking an objective. C. Building an objective. Meaning, you'll spend 95% of your time picking off individual targets who are not being useful to the opposing team anyway. The other 5% will be picking off the annoying snipers on the other team and defending against A, B, or C. An exception I've found is an army of GDF Snipers. Strogg Railgun is weak, but the GDF Sniper Rifle whores against vehicles. Get four to ten shots on a Strogg vehicle and there is no way it will not blow up. But it is slow, and the people will bail before their vehicle blows up.
The Covert Ops loadout, however, has some very useful pieces. Always put up a radar. At the very least, this is always needed in pub play. On Strogg, learn to use your teleporter. The flyer drone is a lot of fun, but it is as efficient as sniping, only one person at a time, two on rare occasions. Get the radar up and hop in a vehicle to do some serious damage to the enemy. Or go in guns blazing pretending you have twice as much health as you really do and hope for the best. GDF Third-Eye Camera is useful to plant on hack objectives the opposite side you snipe from. Therefore, if you can't see the person hacking, you switch to your camera and blow it up. That way you cover both sides. The problem is you'll have to get close and put another one on once you blow it up. Disguising is hecka fun, and drives people nuts when you backstab them with the knife. But be careful against smarter teams, they'll pinpoint you in no time. Multiple disguised users and quickly penetrate a base and hack an objective when needed. |
